Family Activity: Build a Speak Life Wall

Words matter — and the Bible reminds us that “the tongue has the power of life and death” (Proverbs 18:21). As parents, grandparents, or caregivers, one of the greatest gifts we can give children is to fill their hearts and homes with words that give life.
This week’s family activity is called the Speak Life Wall. It’s a simple but powerful way to practice speaking God’s Word and affirmations together as a family.
Here’s how you can do it:
1. Gather sticky notes, index cards, or strips of paper.
2. Sit together as a family and write down affirmations or scriptures that remind you of God’s promises. For example:
- “I am loved by God”
- “The Lord is my strength”
- “I can do all things through Christ”
3. Choose a wall, door, or fridge where you’ll post your notes.
4. Each day, pick one affirmation to read out loud together. Encourage kids to shout it, sing it, or even act it out!
5. Close by thanking God for that truth and asking Him to help you live it out.
💛 This activity may seem small, but it helps children understand the power of declaring God’s Word over their lives. It turns ordinary spaces in your home into reminders of His extraordinary promises.
👉 Try it this week and see how God uses it to fill your family with encouragement.
