Hold Me to It

What if God’s promises weren’t just things to read, but truths to live by? Gather your family and dive into an exciting challenge that brings these promises to life in a whole new way. It’s time to reflect, share, and claim what’s already yours!
What You’ll Need:
- A Bible (or print out a list of Bible verses)
- Paper and pens
- A timer (optional)
How It Works:
Gather your family around the table for a sit-down conversation. Pick a few promises from the Bible (like John 14:27, Philippians 4:19, or Psalm 23). Each family member takes a turn reading one of the promises aloud, then shares how they think it applies to their life. Afterward, everyone writes down one personal promise they’re holding on to or would like to claim from God.
You can make it fun by having a “promise challenge.” For example, set a timer for 1-2 minutes and ask each person to share as many things they’re thankful for as they can before the timer runs out. Once the time is up, reflect on how God has been faithful in each person’s life.
Why It Matters:
This activity invites open conversation, allowing your family to reflect on God’s promises and how they impact daily life. It’s also a great way to remind each other of God’s faithfulness, strengthening your family’s bond.
Challenge:
End the activity by praying together, asking God to help everyone hold on to His promises and continue trusting in His faithfulness.
