To Full To Stress

To Full To Stress

We all know at least one person—maybe even more—who just seems to have a way of getting under our skin. It’s almost like they wake up with the intent to ruin someone’s day.

But recently, I noticed something. There’s someone in my life who used to affect me every time we spoke, but now? Their words don’t get to me the way they used to. Why? Because I’m no longer running on empty.

Before, I was low on fuel—spiritually drained. But now, I’m full because I’ve been spending time with the Lord. Reading His Word daily has kept my heart and mind filled with His peace. And when I don’t make that time? I can feel it—I start running on fumes.

Think about it like this: if you don’t put gas in your car, eventually, you’ll break down. But when you stay fueled up, nothing can stop you from moving forward. The same applies to your spiritual life. If you don’t make time for God, you’ll feel empty—but when you do, He fills you up in ways no one else can.

Here’s the key: When people try to drain you, don’t let them steal your joy. Instead of reacting, smile and pray for them. Some people don’t even realize they’re being difficult—they might be running on empty, too. The best thing you can do is stay filled with God’s love and let Him handle the rest.

So today, I encourage you—don’t let people or circumstances drain you. Stay fueled with God’s Word, smile through it, and pray for those who need Him just as much as you do.

Prayer:

Lord, I thank You for always filling my cup. I pray for an overflow—not just for myself, but so that Your love and peace can flow to others through me. Help me to stay grounded in You, to not be so quick to get upset, and to respond with grace. Fill me up daily, Lord, so I can reflect Your light no matter the situation.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
